If you have an issue that interferes with the function of your tooth, then you need some kind of restorative service, which Dr. Piccione is always more than happy to provide. Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are created from biocompatible composite resin, a metal- and mercury-free material that blends flawlessly with the surrounding tooth enamel. With tooth-colored fillings, we can restore new areas that have been decayed, replace old gray dental work, and even make minor fixes to the front teeth for a significant overall improvement. Gone are the days when having a cavity meant marring your teeth with a silver or gray spot. Additionally, tooth-colored fillings are significantly easier for patients with allergies or sensitivities to metal, since they are made of completely metal-free materials. They also require that less of the natural tooth structure be removed, making them a more conservative treatment.

Dentist using CEREC same day restoration system

CEREC Same-Day Crowns

CEREC, or the Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, allows Dr. Piccione to prepare, manufacture, and place your new restoration in a single visit to our office. Many dentists across the country are just now adopting this technology, but we’ve been offering it to patients for 10 years and counting. Previously, the process for a crown required two appointments and the use of a temporary restoration in the time between. With traditional crowns, you had to wear an often-uncomfortable plastic temporary crown for several weeks before your permanent one was ready. With CEREC, the final crown is crafted from a solid block of ceramic in just one visit to our office. CEREC saves you time, discomfort, and improves the overall result.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

A denture replaces missing teeth and the surrounding periodontal (gum) tissue. Most are removable, and they are all made to look just like your natural teeth — enhancing your ability to eat, speak, and smile. Dentures can be complete or partial. Complete dentures replace an entire row of missing teeth, and partials are used when some natural teeth remain in the gum line. Partial dentures complete the smile by attaching to any remaining natural teeth with clasps or clips. They also prevent your natural teeth from shifting around to try and fill in the gaps themselves.
